One week after Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and we are still filled with excitement. It was a very successful event for Sonim, launching our newest phone, the XP3300 Force, connecting with technology partners, meeting new and existing customers, and – of course –talking to the press.
We received a wide range of coverage this time around from Engadget, Connect and GSM Helpdesk, just to name a few. If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook, you have seen some of these articles and videos. You might have also come across a cnet blog post, titled How I broke the rugged Sonim XP3300 Force. In the article, the author drops the XP3300 Force from “a few feet higher than [the] 1.5mm-thick Gorilla Glass screen is certified to handle,” and yes, the screen of the unit shattered because it was more than just a few feet.
We stand by our specs and the XP3300 Force has proven to be an extremely rugged phone and definitely the toughest GSM phone on the market. Our phones are tested repeatedly during, as well as after the manufacturing process at different stages. However, things can go wrong when the phone is pushed far beyond its specs - in this case the phone was dropped from much higher than 6.5 feet.
We are committed to provide our customers with the highest quality handsets to keep them safe and connected at all times, and do so by challenging our products as well as ourselves continuously. In addition, we back up our phones with an industry-leading 3-Year Comprehensive Warranty, which covers any accidental breakage or malfunction of the phone.
