SFW 2010

So far Sonim has been to road races, boating events and music festival this year just to name a few. But last week we might have gone to one of the toughest events yet. It's loud, it's incredibly crowded and many people are at their breaking point. Not to mention the heat! Yes, it was Fashion Week in Stockholm last week, and designers presented their Spring/Summer 2011 collections in the up and coming fashion capitol, including Carin Wester, Hope and Whyred. We were there proudly representing our own unique style to the masses adopting Coco Chanel's motto "in order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different." 

 

A Cry For Help

Fantastic headline and piece! The Sonim XP3 Sentinel is featured in the current Stuff Magazine UK issue stating that this phone would make a great fit for Bear Grylls. I couldn't agree more! The star of Discovery Channel's Man vs. Wild has lived through swamps with alligators, parachute jumps and a rather exotic bug diet. I've been a fan of this show for quite some time, and no one else puts the "a" in adventure like Bear does! And I agree, "extreme people need extreme phones," so Bear, if you read this, call me, and I'll set you up with the toughest and safest phone out on the market.

Mobile Essentials

"Yes, Motorola and Nokia both produce tough phones, but Sonim made rugged phones their specialty," the L'Essentiel du Mobile wrote in its latest issue. The French mobile magazine put the Sonim XP2 Spirit through a bunch of harsh tests for a week straight. The phone survived being thrown against the wall, a water bath, as well as being punctured. It rated highest among the other handsets reviewed, and L'Essentiel du Mobile concluded that the Spirit is by far the most rugged handset on the market.

   

 
 

Going For Guinness!

In 2008 our first phone, the Sonim XP1, won the "Most Durable Phone-World Record" in the World Records Book. Now, we'd like to attempt to earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for our legendary ruggedness. But we need your help!

The initial record states: "The Sonim XP1 is built for anyone who requires equipment they can depend on, ideal for construction workers, lorry drivers, farmers and foremen. Equally, the Sonim XP1 is perfect for anyone with an active lifestyle who requires a mobile phone that can take a few knocks.  It should also survive most outdoor leisure pursuits, or possibly even trip down to the pub. The Sonim XP1 is arguably the most durable mobile phone ever made available to the general public."
